Bundling up and heading out to cut-your-own tree can be an exciting holiday tradition that takes you out of the Christmas tree lots and into a magical wooded setting. Moon Creek Fraser Farm is located about 30 minutes from Oshkosh in Ripon. Choose and cut trees from eight to ten feet tall start at $53. Most of the trees are Fraser Fir, but Balsam and Concolor are also available. Take home a handmade wreath too! Warming house with food and drinks closed due to COVID-19. Masks are requested.

Harmony Hills Christmas Tree Farm in Saxeville is about 45 minutes from Oshkosh. This family-owned farm sits on 140 acres with 80 dedicated to “cut-your-own” trees and the remaining 60 acres for their wholesale business. Canaan Fir, Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, and White Pine trees are available from 6 to 12 feet.

Balsam Creek Lane Tree Farm, Bear Creek
Just outside New London and about 45 minutes from Oshkosh, Santa and Mrs. Claus are known to hang out at Balsam Creek Lane Tree Farm in Bear Creek. All cut-your-own trees 12 feet and under are $60 – choose from Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, and Blue Spruce. Bring your Santa letters and drop them off at the North Pole mailbox. Make sure to include your address, and you may just get a return letter. Grab a treat bag when you drop off your letter. Find kissing balls, fresh garland, and wreaths as well.

Holiday Trees in Shiocton is about 50 minutes from Oshkosh. Balsam Fir, Blue Spruce, White Spruce, and Black Hills Spruce. All trees are $35 each, including tree bailing and taxes. Santa will be visiting November 27 – 28, and December 4 – 5 from 10 am – 12 pm and 12:30 – 2:30 pm. Warm-up by the campfire — bring marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate to roast s’mores! Bring your own hand saw and strap ropes for trees.

Located in Wild Rose, Happ’s is located in Wild Rose and is about a 55-minute drive from Oshkosh. Complimentary hayride included while searching for the perfect tree! Enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and candy canes! Tree shaking and baling are included, and they send you home with a tree bag. Colored trees are also available in white, blue, teal, purple, and pink. Located in Plover, just 3 miles west of Highway 54 towards Wisconsin Rapids and about 1 hour from Oshkosh, Holiday Creek Christmas Tree Farm grows Balsam Fir and Fraser Fir Trees. All trees are $50 and include shaking and baling. Enjoy free train rides on the weekend with Tommy the Train, Snowman visits and candy canes. Warm-up around the campfire or the warming shed — lots of photo opportunities, including an antique sleigh for a fun background.

Aissen Tree Farm, Luxumberg
Aissen Tree Farm is located in the rolling hills of Kewaunee County, 9 miles south of Luxemburg, Wisconsin, about 1 hour from Oshkosh. This 70-acre farm grows and sells fresh cut and cut-your-own Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Black Hill Spruce, Colorado Blue Spruce, and Concolor Fir. Prices depend on size and type, ranging from $20 (Spruce) to $90 (Fraser Fir). Trees are marked with colored tags and names. Additional services include free tree shaking to remove dirt and loose needles, baling for easier transport, delivery, string to tie your tree to a vehicle, and drilling a hole in the bottom of the tree for tree stands.
Aissen also offers special ordered colored trees in holly berry red, magenta hot pink, bubblegum light pink, sugarplum purple, midnight dark blue, baby blue, turquoise, gold, white and black!

Bay View Tree Farm supports “Trees For Troops.” This program provides free, farm-grown Christmas trees to military families and troops in all military branches at more than 65 bases in the United States and overseas.

Located in Oconto, about a 1-hour 15-minute drive from Oshkosh, Whispering Pines is full of fun activities. Take a tractor ride out to the field and choose your Christmas tree from thousands of Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Scotch Pine, and White Pine. Prices range from $35 to $65. Warm-up in the cozy lodge and enjoy a free cup of hot chocolate. The food menu on the weekends includes hamburgers, hot dogs, cheese curds, and mini donuts! Browse the gift shop for unique hand-crafted items and tasty gourmet treats but make sure to visit our new Sweet Shop, located next to Santa’s Workshop.
